Student Rights In Public School

What are the student rights in public school?
Some say students have no rights at all, some say students rule the roost at public schools, so which is it?
Neither, but it is a little in between. Student rights in public school usually relate to what a student can and can not do, how far they can argue their point of opinion, and in general basic human rights.

The basic human rights correspond to student rights in public school, and this means that students have a right to personal privacy. Students must always inform the school if they are going to be away from school due to illness, how student rights in public school should state that a student need not have to supply details to a teacher, principal or board of education regarding health and medical details. This basic student rights in public school ensure that student medical confidentiality is indeed kept confidential and any teacher found infringing on this student rights in public school may be deemed as behaving inappropriately and voiding student rights in public school.

Student rights in public school also extends to a student not being forced or reprimanded to participate in an activity if they are overly uncomfortable with it, or if for example it is against their religious beliefs.
Students have a right to practice their religious beliefs whilst at school, and this should always be upheld when it comes to student rights in public school.

For example, a Muslim female student may not feel comfortable participating in swimming activities with the school as she is required to wearing clothing covering at all time.
If this student is forced to acquire a bathing suit and go swimming, her student rights are being violated and she has the right to make an official complaint.

The student rights in public school come down to respect and tolerance for others and their beliefs, health and happiness.
Obeying the student rights in public school environments ensures that students are performing to the best of their abilities without fear of intimidation or discomfort.

Solar System School Project

A solar system school project is the perfect way for children to become acquainted with the solar system and how it functions.
A solar system school project can take on many forms, but the most popular project is when students complete a model of the solar system.

A solar system model for a solar system school project can be made in a variety of ways.
For example, each of the planets may be made of clay of varying colors (painted). The clay models all have thin sticks or strong straws poking into them, which lead to the sun in the middle of the solar system school project.

The planets all join to the sun by means of these sticks, making sure to keep the correct formation and order of planets as they actually are in the solar system.
Therefore, for this solar system school project, the planet Mercury would be on the shortest stick, giving it the appearance of being located closest to the sun.
Pluto would be attached to the longest of all the sticks, hence it being furthest away from the sun in the solar system school project.

The solar system school project should portray Earth as being the body of water and land that it is by carefully painting it in blue and green colors. You can even go to greater details in your solar system school project by painting the actual countries on to the planet Earth!
This will likely score you extra marks for your solar system school project and show your teacher you went that extra step in applying the details.

A good solar system school project should also be accompanied by a piece of writing or a presentation.
In a solar system school project presentation, the student can show his knowledge of the workings of the solar system by listing the planets in order without reading off paper.
This will display to the teacher that the student has learnt a great deal about the solar system whilst completing his solar system school project.

A solar system school project is a fantastic way for young people to learn and apply their knowledge of our great solar system, and with a bit of effort, your project can even be turned into a work of art!

Public School Student Rights

Is there such a thing as public school student rights?
The answer is, yes there are public school student rights.
For example, students may elect not to participate in the daily Pledge of Allegiance ceremony is they choose not to, or they do not believe in the statements of the verse.
This shows that public school student rights are alive and well.

Students can also choose not to sing the national anthem and can not be punished for not participating in these ceremonies as this would violate their public school student rights.

Public school student rights mean students have a right to personal privacy.
For example, a student need not have to supply details to a teacher, principal or board of education regarding health and medical details if they are away from school.
A doctor certificate is required; however it need not list details of the students condition as this would violate public school student rights.

This basic public school student rights ensure that student medical confidentiality is indeed kept confidential and any teacher found infringing on this may be deemed as behaving inappropriately and voiding public school student rights, thus leading to the termination of their employment or if the offence is serious enough, reported to police.

Public school student rights usually relate to what a student can do and how they can argue their opinions and beliefs.
public school student rights also extends to a student not being forced or reprimanded to participate in an activity if they are overly uncomfortable with it, or if for example it is against their religious beliefs.
Practicing religious beliefs at school is a student right, although overly practicing religion in classes is not usually permitted. Religious dress however is one of the public school student rights.

Obeying the public school student rights ensures that students are performing to the best of their abilities without fear of intimidation or discomfort whilst at the same time feeling free to express their beliefs and opinions in an open environment.

Public Private Drift School

Public private drift school occurs when parents take their child out of a public school and put them into a private school, believing they will receive a better education at a public private drift school rather than just at a public school in the local area.

Some of the poorest families are spending thousands of dollars a year to send their children to private schools in the public private drift school increase.

Often grandparents are paying the school fees as public private drift school accelerates every year. Often parents can not afford the expenses on their own, so they ask their own parents for financial assistance.

Around one third of students in the world are victims of the public private drift school and attend private, non-government schools.

Fees for private schools rise every year, however this has not halted the public private drift school. Parents still believe their child will receive a better education in a private school and do not mind paying these high fees.

Some parents spend up to $20,000 per year due to the public private drift school. This is more than many households earn per year altogether, proving the gap between rich and poor is dramatically increasing every year.

Often said the public private drift school is led by medium-income families.
These families often have four jobs between two parents and these parents never have a holiday and they drive a 15-year-old car and live in a two-bedroom house.
They make enormous sacrifices for the education of their children in the public private drift school.

But is it worth it? Not really, as students receive excellent education in public schools so there is little reason to spend monstrous amounts of money at a private school, when this money could be spent on a mortgage or holidays.
The public private drift school however shows that many parents do not agree with this statement.

Many public private drift school students will notice a major different when they start attending a private school due t the increased expectations that comes with paying such high school fees. Many parents expect more from private school students.

It can be seen that public private drift school is on the increase; however it is up to your own personal taste of whether you feel your child can receive a better education in a private school.

Pros For Religious Prayer In Public Schools

There are as many pros for religious prayer in public schools as there are arguments against it.
Many parents argue that the pros for religious prayer in public schools far outweigh the negatives and that prayers should be introduced as mandatory, or at least as a choice, in all public schools which previously were only considered non-religious and purely academic focused rather than spiritual.

Pros for religious prayer in public schools include allowing children to take time out from the monotony and straight thinking of academic lessons, and into a spiritual, often relaxing environment on prayer and religious thought.

Parents acknowledging the pros for religious prayer in public schools often can not afford to send their child to a religious school, but still require some religious tuition at their child's public school.
Often parents against prayers in public schools will clash with parents who have pros for religious prayer in public schools; however these two groups can in fact live together if this delicate issue is dealt with correctly.

The main pros for religious prayer in public schools really do outweigh the cons, as if a child does not have the opportunity to attend the prayer sessions they are not given the choice of whether to follow religion later in life.
Students who are not exposed to religious education in their early school years may be disadvantaged in later years as they will have little understanding on religion, meaning an informed choice is quite difficult.

Students who participate in prayers in public schools say there are many pros for religious prayer in public schools and most are happy to attend the short services once or twice a week.
Students tend to find relaxation in the ceremonies, where they can temporarily rest their mind from daily classroom lessons and assignments and concentrate on religion.
It can even be said that this time out from classes is a significant one of the pros for religious prayer in public schools.

Although there will always be a debate on this issue, it can be safely said that prayers in public schools will do no harm to a child, and will certainly help in their development and future religious choices and beliefs.

Pros And Cons of School Uniforms

There are many pros and cons of school uniforms in public schools.
Some people believe school uniforms add a professional touch to students attending school and prepare them for the business world. Others argue that school uniforms restrict the freedom of students expressing their personality.
The pros and cons of school uniforms are varied and far-reaching; however the main factors are student safety, and the effects on learning.

Some of pros and cons of school uniforms are discussed in this article, where at the end you may draw your own conclusion of what is best for your child and whether you should send your children to a school with a school uniform policy.

Some pros of wearing school uniforms include saving the time of teachers whereby they do not need to constantly patrol what students are wearing and judge whether the clothing is inappropriate. This can place pressure on teachers as students become argumentative when told their clothing is not suitable for school.
School uniforms can distract students from their studies. This is one of the major cons in the pros and cons of school uniforms as students constantly worry about what they are wearing and how they are wearing it rather than worrying about school work.
They will also spend more time at home sorting through their clothes instead of completing homework.

Some of the pros and cons of school uniforms come down to safety factors. For example, if students are in multi color clothing, it is difficult to distinguish if there is a stranger on the school grounds. When children are wearing uniforms it is immediately noticeable when a foreign visitor enters the school property.

Some of the pros in the pros and cons of school uniforms include that students will be safer due to the fact that some students will choose to wear gang colors to school, which potentially intimidates other students. It is preferred that all students are dressed in a uniform fashion to prevent fights and warfare.

It is also wise to enforce school uniforms because of other pros and cons of school uniforms including the pro of students not succumbing to peer pressure over what style or brand of clothing they are wearing to school.

Often students can be quite harsh when comparing clothing with other kids and those without the top name brands and fashions may be bullied and intimidated by other more well off students.
This is a major hazard for students self esteem and growth, as well as their concentration on schoolwork.

As a parent, it is your choice whether you put your child into a school that enforces a school uniform policy. After you have weighed up the pros and cons of school uniforms you can make an informed decision of what is best for your child.

Pennsylvania Systems of School Assessment

In 1999, Pennsylvania adopted pennsylvania systems of school assessment standards for Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening and Mathematics. These pennsylvania systems of school assessment standards identify what a student should know and be able to do at varying grade levels.

The annual pennsylvania systems of school assessment (PSSA) is a an assessment used to measure the pupils understanding of the academic standards.

Individual student scores in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment can be used to assist teachers in identifying students who may be in need of additional educational opportunities, and school scores provide information to schools and districts for curriculum and instruction improvement planning.

The results of the pennsylvania systems of school assessment tests are only disclosed to the school that the student attends This assures confidentiality.

There are several levels of results in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment. These are:

Advanced; Advanced work indicates an in-depth understanding and exemplary display of the skills included in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment.

Proficient; Proficient level shows satisfactory academic performance. Proficient work indicates a very good understanding and display of the skills included in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment.

Basic; Basic work level indicates a partial understanding and limited display of the skills included in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment. There is a need for additional instructional opportunities and increased student academic commitment.

Below Basic; The below basic level indicates little understanding and minimal display of the skills included in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment. There is a major need for additional instructional opportunities and increased student academic commitment.

By assessing all students and assigning them a level in the pennsylvania systems of school assessment, teachers and parents can see where improvements need to take place. This is a world class assessment strategy and all schools would be wise to follow in the footsteps of the pennsylvania systems of school assessment.

Middle School Cheerleaders

Middle school cheerleaders need to be fit and healthy; there is no doubt about that. When you see middle school cheerleaders performing it is obvious that they are put through training and fitness programs to maintain their health and good figures.

Middle school cheerleaders may be required to lift other cheerleaders in a pyramid style and to support pyramids, or a flyer that climbs atop the pyramids

Middle school cheerleaders need to be able to lift themselves and others into the air meaning a good level of physical fitness and strength is required.
High class middle school cheerleaders are built much like Olympic gymnasts, with powerful lower bodies for tumbling, jumping and climbing.

The best way for middle school cheerleaders to add strength is by incorporating modest weights into their training regime.
This can just mean holding light free weights in your hands or perhaps taking on more strenuous weight machines, it is up to the middle school cheerleaders if they feel they can handle the task.

Even small amounts of weight will add muscle to middle school cheerleaders arms when they add this resistance over a high number of repetitions.
Middle school cheerleaders should start off slowly when beginning to work out, and as time progresses may move on to heavier exercises.
Adding a lot of weight, but then swinging it around with momentum is not going to help. Middle school cheerleaders should choose a lighter weight that they can slowly raise and lower; this will provide the resistance training most beneficial for middle school cheerleaders.

Middle school cheerleaders should not add weights to their feet, ankles, or legs during aerobic exercise, as these can place strain on supporting joints.

The best way for middle school cheerleaders to add strength to their lower body is to perform targeted repetitions on weight machines.
Every decent gym has several machines designed solely to strengthen the lower body.

Strength training is especially important for male middle school cheerleaders, as they are usually the ones lifting people onto their shoulders or tossing people into the air.
But a bit of strength training benefits all middle school cheerleaders.

Locks For Schools

Locks for schools provide heightened security in all schools. locks for schools are very important due to the increase in violence in todays schools, with children of a younger age having access to weapons and other forms of tools that they use for violence. Locks for schools will prevent schools being broken into on weekends and during holidays.

Most schools have some locks, however not many schools have adequate locks for schools or a proper security system in place.
A security system will often completely prevent all break-ins when they school is unattended. Many schools are broken into during vacation time, particularly over the Christmas period. This results in computers and other valuable equipment being stolen.

Locks for schools and increased security measures such as cameras and alarms will drastically decrease the amount of robberies performed on schools as well as being able to identify intruders if they do happen to break in.

Having locks for schools will also result in an increase of a secure feeling among staff and students.
Students will no longer worry about leaving their items on their des for the next day and teachers will be able to leave textbooks and other equipment out without fear that they will be stolen or damaged by intruders.

Many schools have held meetings with parents and staff discussing the use of locks for schools. The only downside is the increased cost of implanting locks for schools; however most schools decided that this expense was well worth it as they often lose more equipment during the year that is worth more than getting locks for schools.

Schools that have already implemented these security measures have been able to save many thousands of dollars every year to the complete decrease in school robberies.
Intruders quickly determine which schools have locks for schools and will move on to another school that is easier to break in to.

It is clearly obvious that having locks for schools will greatly increase the security and safety of our schools, therefore providing a better environment for a child to learn in.

If your school is not currently considering these increased security measures, dont hesitate to bring it up in the next parent meeting, explaining the benefits that security can have for your childs school.

Lighting In School Systems

Does lighting in school systems affect a childs work?
In most cases the answer is yes. If there is inadequate lighting in school systems, children will not be able to see the blackboard clearly, therefore disrupting and halting their learning.
These children who are affected by low lighting in school systems are often seen as trouble makers, however the real cause of their inattentiveness is often the simple fact that they can not see what is going on, therefore they lose all interest.

Lighting in school systems should be bright enough for all students to be able to see what they are doing as well as to see what is happening at the front of the room. If lighting in school systems is of poor quality, student work quality will suffer, and often behavior problems will occur.
If lighting in school systems is too bright, this can cause eye strain for students, leading them to eventually need to wear glasses - something that no students want to endure.

Providing sufficient lighting in school systems is neither a difficult nor highly expensive task. It is something tat should be thought of the minute the school is built, saving time later as the lighting in school systems will already be in place.

Often lighting in school systems can be installed by local contract workers who will attend the school and install the required lighting in specific classrooms.
This can be done on weekends or after school hours to save disruption of class activities.

All schools with good lighting in school systems report an increase in student attentiveness and participation. If a student can see what the teacher is writing on the board at the front of the classroom, he will be more inclined to participate that if he were unable to see due to poor lighting in school systems.

It is obvious that lighting in school systems is a vital, but often overlooked, aspect of our childrens schools. It is important for their learning, participation and also for their eyesight.

If your school has poor lighting in the classrooms, be sure to speak up and request a change in the lighting infrastructure it will do more harm than good if you dont say anything at all.

Stock Market Prediction Software

A stock market prediction software is a financial analysis and trading tool to help investors in making better decisions and gain significant edges in stock market trading and investing. With a stock market prediction software one can automatically keep a comprehensive account of ones trading history and activity. At the click of a button one can take a stock of ones trading success and/or failures.

For over 200 years, experts around the world have been using a method called Charting for profitable trading. Stock market prediction software have automated this method and with their well designed technical analysis can even help users to gain a deeper insight into the stock market industry.

A stock market prediction software combines traditional technical analysis with modern artificial intelligence technologies. With the ability to learn patterns from historical data, a stock market prediction software enables a user to create accurate systems that can guide him or her in entering and exiting stock positions. Financial modeling is a complex task involving probability theory and quantitative analysis. A stock market prediction software can do such modeling easily, efficiently and profitably without a glitch.

Armed with a stock market prediction software a user can create and train stock models, import stock data, test trading strategies and models, get real-time analysis and trading recommendations. Thats not all, a stock market prediction software can perform daily and/or intra-day analysis and predictions. Good stock market prediction software can even find hot stocks by scanning trading data!

But beware! The intelligence of stock market prediction software comes largely from statistical analysis on historical data and from the market information fed into it. They are certainly not a substitute for a stock traders own intelligence, experience and intuition! Moreover, certain parameters that affect stock markets (like political upheavals) are beyond the scope of stock market prediction software. Therefore, a stock market prediction software should be used only as a helping-hand rather than as a decision-maker.

Schools Out For Summer

The Alice Cooper hit schools out for summer is the classic teenage seventies song schools out for summer is considered to be Alice Cooper's signature song and the one that brought him a great amount of fame, success and fortune

Schools out for summer was the highest selling single ever for Alice Cooper
It reached number seven on the US charts in 1972 and reached number one in the UK in the same year.
The album itself, released in the summer of 1972, reached number two and sold over one million copies.

The schools out for summer album the album had a very unique design which appealed to the youth of the day in the 1970s, in particular young men.
The album cover unfolded like a classroom desk but inside the desk was a record enclosed in a pair of pink female underwear. This was quite daring in the conservative seventies and Cooper was quickly labeled gothic by unwitting parents and commentators alike.

The schools out for summer album track listing contained the following songs -
School's Out, Luney Tune, Gutter Cat vs. The Jets, Street Fight, Blue Turk, My Stars, Public Animal #9, Alma Mater, Grand Finale.

Schools out for summer elevated Alice Cooper to cult status around the world with his fans. They chanted the chorus of schools out for summer Schools out for summer, schools out forever

schools out for summer was a brash, 3 minute thrash rock song turned anthem as millions of seventys school kids adopted it as their anthem.
The lyrics of schools out for summer sound rebellious and teenage angst, but the rest pokes fun at people who do not go to school (i.e. adults).

While schools out for summer might come across as being anti-school, it is actually a parody of teen angst which a lot of people at the time did not pick up on.

The Alice Cooper single and album schools out for summer defined the 70s more than any other song of its time, and is still played on radio today.
Ask your parents if you like it is likely they can tell you all about their experiences in the seventies with Alice Cooper playing in the background.

Sex education for teens is a subject which should not be taken lightly by parents or teachers.
It is a hot topic which is vital for the safety and wellbeing of teenagers. sex education for teens should be a mandatory inclusion in school classes, as well as being taught by parents at home.

Some of the topics to discuss when teaching sex education for teens are, first and foremost, contraceptive methods and safe sex.
Often teens think they are invincible when it comes to sex, and think that nothing bad will ever happen to them. Unfortunately, it is quite the opposite in reality.

More and more teenage girls are becoming pregnant at younger ages. 12 year old girls have not had enough sex education for teens, even though they are not officially teenagers yet, sex education for teens should really begin at age 11.

It is a sad fact that kids are beginning to have sex at a younger age, and while we can not do much to stop this trend, providing sex education for teens may raise the chances or preventing accidents, even if we can not cure them altogether.

Sex education for teens should cover all aspects of sex, personal growth and relationships.
Sexuality has many different forms which can be explored and studied in a number of ways.
Most teens think that the traditional penis to vagina intercourse is the only one you need to worry about when thinking about contracting STD's and becoming pregnant; however this is not the case.

Sex education for teens would teach teenagers that while that traditional method may be the only way you can become pregnant, there are many other ways of contracting sexually transmitted diseases (STD).

Sex education for teens should point out that sex at a young age does not guarantee a longer or closer relationship with your partner. It also rarely feels great the first time, particularly for females.

Sex education for teens can also show teens that having sex does not make you grown up, and that if you do not have sex early on in life, you will be happier later in life (when you are 18 or older) when you find someone to love and share your first experience with.

It can be plainly seen that having sex education for teens is a vital step in today's society for making teens aware of the inherent risks, dangers and expectations of early sexual activity.

Although parents and teachers can not prevent such activities, we are able to provide education in the hope of preventing life-threatening consequences to our children.

School Sound Systems

School sound systems are an important aspect of any school. School sound systems determine whether students are able to hear school announcements which can provide extremely important information, including emergency information, to students. If school sound systems equipment is inadequate, students may miss out on these emergency announcements, possibly endangering their life.

School sound systems are also used in schools halls, where music is played and events are undertaken. Such events requiring use of school sound systems include presentation days, graduation ceremonies and special events.

If a school sound systems is not up to the task of providing adequate sound throughout the entire hall, the crowd will become restless as they can not hear what is going on up on the stage.

School sound systems should consist of at least four main speakers in the front of the room or hall. There should also be several speakers down the side of the hall, placed as high as possible towards the roof and facing at a 45 degree angle downwards.
Even more speakers, approximately two or more, need to be located at the rear of the room.
Depending on the size of the room, rear speakers may not be required as in a small room they will only clash with the sound coming from the front speakers when sound waves from the front and rear collide with each other, causing echo and distortion of sound in school sound systems.

Students who can not hear sound properly during school assemblies will become disruptive and inattentive. It is critical that school sound systems are refined to ensure all students can hear school assemblies. By not being able to hear, often students are missing out on important information relating to their schooling.

School sound systems are critical in the operation of many schools; however it is an aspect that is often poorly overlooked in favor of other equipment.
To ensure your students and guests enjoy events as much as possible, install good school sound systems and see the difference in attention and attendance at these events.

Most schools will find that it is worth the small cost to invest in quality school sound systems equipment.

High School Showers

High school showers are often places not many students want to attend.
Students of this age are at the height of puberty and often so self-conscious the last thing they want to do is strip naked and get into high school showers.

A lot of high school showers are built without any privacy partitions. Often students are told to use the shower after swimming and sports classes, and some school make this school policy regardless of parental opinions and students wishes of using high school showers.

Forcing students to use high school showers is thought to be borderline illegal by some parents, who have gone to the length of holding school meetings with principals and writing letters to council members to complain of the issue of lack of privacy in high school showers at the childs school.

High school showers has been a controversial issue in recent years, with more and more public schools bowing to pressure from parents and groups to eliminate required showers from sports and swimming classes.

It is argued children can still play sport at school without requiring a shower afterwards as they are only at school for a short amount of hours and can shower once they arrive home.
While personal hygiene for elementary, middle, and high school students is an important life lesson, privacy should come first when it comes to high school showers.

Some people argue that students should have mandatory showers after every PE lesson as a way to encourage them to develop good hygiene.

Some say it is ideal to have students start the habit of high school showers earlier in life, before puberty and peer pressure sets in. If they start taking showers at around age 10 they will become accustomed to the chore and are less likely to reject it later in life.

A recent spokesman for the high school showers policy said Even though there are invariably some parents and students who will adamantly object to the lack of privacy during required school showers, teachers and administrators need to be steadfast in upholding this important school policy. Public schools have a basic responsibility to try and help to get students ready for some of the things that may well come up in their life.

It can be clearly seen that high school showers is a controversial topic with parents only wanting the best for their childrens comfort, but schools taking a hard-line stance.
In the end, it is your choice to send your child to a school where you are happy with the showering policy.

High School Girls

High school girls represent a female who attends high school from anywhere from Grade 7 to Grade 12. High school girls generally begin to mature at age 14 and this continues until they leave high school, anywhere from age 17 to 19.

It is often said that high school girls who are trusted by her parents in her high school years will have a stronger relationship with her parents compared to high school girls who are not shown trust by their parents.

Many high school girls who are put down and not trusted by their parents will turn to their friends for advice and assistance, rather than turning to their parents as should be the case.

In most cases high school girls at the age of 14 and above will take a greater interest in young boys, music, shopping and other adolescent things than she does in her school studies and assignments.
Although this can be a major issue with the parents of high school girls, it is advised that parents allow them to have a certain amount of freedom to do as she pleases (within reason), to enable her to make the smooth transition from school girl to young woman.

By restricting the freedom of high school girls, parents risk causing the opposite intended effect of being over-protective, and that is that high school girls may begin to lie and disrespect her parents.

If high school girls are not granted a certain amount of freedom and responsibility in her teenage and adolescent year, they often grow up rejecting and resenting their parents. This can result in rebelling against parents wishes, as high school girls will hold little respect for parents who did not allow her freedom and show her their trust.

Parents should encourage high school girls to obtain a part time job, and to spend at least one hour per evening studying and doing homework.
If the student is aware of this life-balance rule, she will not spend all of her free time with friends, but rather only some of it.

It is ultimately up to you as a parent as to what happens in your daughters transition from high school girls to young woman.

High School Fights

High schools fights are becoming more and more common in modern day society.
It has been argued that music, movies and video games are too blame for increased high school fights, but are there other reasons?

High school fights have been known to turn into near riots, with students using cell phones to gather other students to the fight scene to join the high school fights.

In Partingon at Broadoak High School, a fifteen year old schoolboy died in a high school fight.
Two fourteen year old boys were the likely suspects.
This case sadly is not the only one showing high school fights are on the increase and are becoming deadly.

It is thought bullying is the first indication of high school fights, with bullied students likely to end up outnumbered in a fight at school, often putting them in grave danger.

There are ways to prevent high school fights. These can include teachers assisting students who believe they are being bullied and may be the target of a high school fight.
High school students should be taught to talk to each other about their problems rather than resorting to violence in high school fights.

Counseling sessions for particularly troubled students can also be a consideration in schools to prevent high school fights.
Parents should also play a major role in educating their student about conflict resolution, and by displaying appropriate, non-violent behavior at home.
It is thought students who are exposed to violence in the home are much more likely to end up in high school fights.

To be effective, violence prevention programs require community efforts that include students, families, teachers, staff, law enforcement, emergency response staff, security professionals, parents and more.
School administrators should bring together all of the above people to develop strategies appropriate for their school and community environments to help prevent high school fights.

To stop high school fights, teachers and parents especially must work together to assist students in finding other means to vent their frustration.
A good way of doing this is encouraging participating in sporting events.
It has been proven that students who spend more time playing sport are less likely to be involved in high school fights.

We all have a part to play in preventing high school fights; it is only when we really take action that the results will be seen for themselves.

High school cheerleaders may cheer at school volleyball, soccer, football, wrestling, girls & boys basketball games as well as participate in & support Homecoming Week.

High school cheerleaders may support and perform at assemblies as well as compete at local, regional, state & national cheer competitions.

Good high school cheerleaders programs ensure equal opportunity to all students without regard to gender, race, religion, color, national origin or economic capability.
They also emphasize the ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, integrity, accountability, and fair play.

High school cheerleaders should abide by all school, district and league rules and show courtesy to all visiting teams, competitors, hosts and officials.

High school cheerleaders understand that team work and the maintenance of discipline is the key to the success of the spirit program. High school cheerleaders are dedicated to promoting spirit, enthusiasm, and a positive winning attitude through example.
Eligibility for high school cheerleaders is often tough. They usually need to be passing all classes with good grades.
High school cheerleaders should maintain good citizenship marks, attendance, and class performance and teacher recommendations during their time on the squad.

A controversial clause in some schools is that cheerleading must take priority over all other extra-curricular activities (including jobs) for the entire time of commitment.
This is often difficult for high school cheerleaders to maintain but they must do so to prove their dedication.

As can be seen, it is not easy being high school cheerleaders, however the rewards far outweigh the potential downfalls.

Global Positioning System School Bus

Many schools are asking themselves whether a global positioning system school bus would increase the safety of children.
Many states and countries have schools who are investigating whether a global positioning system school bus would in fact increase the safety of school children have come to the conclusion that it would assist in safety measures, however the cost of a global positioning system school bus is a major barrier to actually implementing the system.

A global positioning system school bus can be used as a security measure to allow teachers to track down their students in case of emergency or disorientation.
This would greatly increase the safety of children who catch the bus to school and to school activities such as sporting events and excursions.

A global positioning system school bus contains features such as ignition on/off and total ignition run time. These two features send data back to the base station about when the bus was started and for how long. This would prove extremely helpful if a global positioning system school bus was to be stolen or hijacked.

A global positioning system school bus would maintain missed and unscheduled stops. This is critical in stopping rogue bus drivers from missing stops or even stopping where they are not suppose to stop. It is hard to believe, but bus drivers have been known to stop at friends house and even at the local store when they should be on duty.
A global positioning system school bus would stop this practice.

A global positioning system school bus also tracks in real time the bus speed and direction, keeping the base station informed if the bus goes off track. This is especially helpful if the bus happens to be stolen. A global positioning system school bus could prove the difference between tracking a stolen bus and allowing it to escape.

A global positioning system school bus can cost $300,000 to $400,000 per bus, potentially costing big fleet bus companies millions of dollars if they were to install the system on all their global positioning system school bus.

Whether a global positioning system school bus is adopted in all countries by all bus companies remains to be seen but one thing is for certain and that is that it will greatly increase the safety and security of all students.

Asbestos Education

Is asbestos education up to the standard that it should be to combat and prevent further cases of disease and death relating to this awful substance?
In most places in the world, asbestos education is sub par to say the least.

A survey carried out on 100 staff members aged between 19 and 65 has indicated that far more is needed to in asbestos education to teach the public about the dangers of asbestos exposure.

Shockingly over 70% of the people questioned had never heard of mesothelioma, and had no idea that it was a form of cancer. This showed that In recent years, asbestos education has been identified as being the lowest funded of all cancers despite the rapidly rising figures in mesothelioma cases was virtually non existent.

20% had heard of mesothelioma but were not familiar with any of the symptoms or causes of mesothelioma.
Only 8% of those questioned actually knew what mesothelioma was and had any idea about its link with asbestos, proving they had little asbestos education.

It has been claimed for a long time in countries such as the UK, the US and Australia that more support and asbestos education is required into the effects of asbestos and the symptoms of mesothelioma.

In recent years, asbestos education has been identified as being the lowest funded of all cancers despite the rapidly rising figures in disease caused by asbestos.

The study involved people from a broad range of backgrounds and of a wide range of ages It may have been small but is thought to be indicative of the ignorance of the public when it comes to mesothelioma and asbestos education.

Only those that have been affected personally or through family or friends had a good knowledge of the issues, and it is thought that even doctors still asbestos education.

Action on these results has been taken in one location New South Wales, Australia.
The government has committed $100,000 to improving community education about the dangers of asbestos.

Workplace Relations Minister John Della Bosca made the announcement during National Asbestos Awareness Week.
He says a state Government-funded program will be established to ensure home owners and renovators are aware of the risks of dealing with asbestos.
The program will raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos in the community, through local councils, hospitals, libraries, shopping centers and the media.

This is essential asbestos education for all people, as no one is safe from the dangers of asbestos. It is hoped that other regions and countries will follow suit.

School Girl

The term school girl can refer to many different things, depending on who you are talking to.
In general, a school girl represents a female who attends school from anywhere from Kindergarten to Grade 12. A university student is not usually referred to as a school girl because she will be eighteen by the time she reaches tertiary education level.

Usually a school girl at the age of 14 and above will take more interest in boys, music, shopping and general "teenage" things than she does in her school work.
Although this can be a major issue with the parents of a school girl, it is advised that you allow your daughter a certain amount of freedom in her spare time, to enable her to make the smooth transition from school girl to young woman.

If a school girl is not granted a certain amount of freedom and responsibility in her teenage and adolescent year, the school girl often grows up rejecting and resenting her parents. Often this will result in rebelling against parents wishes, as the school girl will hold little respect for the parents who did not allow her freedom and show her their trust.

By restricting the freedom of a school girl, parents risk causing the opposite intended effect of being over-protective, and that is that the school girl will begin to lie and disrespect her parents for fear that they do not allow the school girl to take part in activities with her friends, or perhaps to stay out a little later on weekends.

It is often said that a school girl who is trusted by her parents in her teenage years will grow closer to her parents later in life.
Many students and teenagers who are oppressed by their parents will turn to their friends for advise and assistance in life, rather than turning to their parents.

For a school girl, this process can result in a rather dangerous prospect if a school begins to trust and rely on a male friend, this can end in disastrous consequences if the male friend is not of good character.
With a little trust and respect from her parents, this school girl will live a safer and happier life and turn to her parents for support, rather than (often older) members of the opposite sex.

Parents should encourage their school girl to obtain a weekend job, and to spend at least one hour per evening studying and doing homework. If the student is aware of this life-balance, she will not spend all of her free time with friends, but rather only some of it.

The above advice is a good starting point for parents who may be worried about their daughters whereabouts when she is not in school.
It is ultimately up to you as a parent as to what happens in your daughters transition from school girl to young woman.

School Bus GPS Tracking Systems

Would installing school bus gps tracking systems in public school buses ensure the security of children?
That is the question being asked in many states and countries as schools investigate whether school bus gps tracking systems would in fact increase the safety of school children.

School bus gps tracking systems can be used as a security measure to allow parents to locate their children in case of emergency, therefore increasing the safety of children who catch the bus to school.

School bus gps tracking systems can also be used to track what time drivers turn up to pick students up, as in the past drivers were not tracked on their pick up times. School bus gps tracking systems could revolutionize bus driving in this sense, as bus companies will be able to see exactly where a bus is at any particular time.

Some bus drivers however see school bus gps tracking systems as a spy system of some sort, and are against its implementation.

Sometimes busses are late or dont show up at all to pick up and drop off students at school sports and extracurricular events, as well as general school buses being late to school in the morning with a busload of students, often disrupting classes.
school bus gps tracking systems will allow bus companies to contact drivers and ask them if they are having problems getting to the school on time.

School bus gps tracking systems could cost up to $300,000 to $400,000 per bus, potentially costing big fleet bus companies millions of dollars to install school bus gps tracking systems on all of their school buses.

Many still believe the implementation of school bus gps tracking systems is worth the hefty price tag, and many parents are willing to contribute to the cost of the systems.

Whether school bus gps tracking systems are adopted in all countries by all buses remains to be seen. Due to the cost and time involved in training users to use the system, it is thought only one or two buses in a fleet will trial the school bus gps tracking systems to begin with.

Once results are satisfactory, many bus companies will rollout large installations of school bus gps tracking systems, which will prove highly beneficial to the safety of all school students.

Public Spankings In School

Should public spankings in school be allowed? The resounding answer is no, however this has not always been the case.
As we have all heard from our parents, public spankings in school were common place in the "old" days.
In modern day however, public spankings in school is taboo. Teachers who conduct public spankings in school are dismissed from their job immediately and often reported to police - a far cry from the discipline systems from days gone by.

The psychological damage caused by public spankings in school is significant. Students often grow up thinking that it is acceptable to solve problems and disagreements with violence.
Public spankings in school are not the correct action to take against a student or students who resort to violence in school, or who may simply misbehave.

Although public spankings in school may still be taking place in some countries in the world, most western civilized countries no longer conduct public spankings in school, instead they provide discipline in another manners including detention and expulsion from school.

When a child misbehaves, the cause of this misbehavior must be established, rather than resorting to public spankings in school.
If the cause of the problem is not found, the student will continue to offend regardless of receiving public spankings in school.

A child who is forced to endure public spankings in school often develops a negative attitude to school, as well as to life in general as they feel that they are continually being punished when in fact they just have a problem that is in need of being solved. Public spankings in school are not the correct method to solve these problems.

Until public spankings in school are completely banned in all parts of the world, we will continue to see students not only physically afflicted, but suffering mental scars from having ti endure public spankings in school, and this is something that no parents want to see happening to their child.

Therefore it is up to parents to speak up and vote against public spankings in school in your local school as this is the only way action will be taken against this horrible practice.

Too Much Emphasis On Sports In Public Schools

It has been said that there is too much emphasis on sports in public schools. Some schools in particular make heroes out of their football players, but pay little recognition to the high academic achievers.
Too much emphasis on sports in public schools can lead to students decreasing their focus on education, and pursuing sporting interests instead as they believe they will be rewarded for sporting achievements and not educational pursuits.

Often students will choose easily electives in high school to allow them to have more time to participate in school sporting events. This too much emphasis on sports in public schools will greatly endanger the chances of many students gaining entry to college or university as many simply do not have the mathematical and arithemetic skills required to be admitted to tertiary education institions.

Whilst many students may believe they are destined for sporting greatness, only 0.001% of school students will ever succeed in a sport and be able to make a living off it, meaning too much emphasis on sports in public schools places most students in grave danger of affecting their entire life.

Schools often spend hundreds of thousands of dollars upgrading gym and sporting equipment, to the detriment of educational tools and programs. While we all agree sport and physical acitivty is vital for young students, too much emphasis on sports in public schools and too much money spent on sporting programs only detracts and distracts students and teachers from the bigger picture of education.

So we can see that placing too much emphasis on sports in public schools is a hazard not only for the students themselves, but for the future of the community at large. The goal of a school is to produce bright, intelligent young adults, not dreamers who think they are the next Michael Jordan.
